Ayurveda is an ancient Indian medical system that means “the science of life” and focuses on the balance of mind, body, and spirit to prevent and treat illness.
The term “Ayurveda” comes from the Sanskrit words “ayu” (life) and “veda” (science).

Focus on Root Causes
Ayurveda aims to identify and address the underlying causes of disease, such as the accumulation of toxins (ama) or imbalances in the doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), rather than just managing symptoms.
This holistic approach considers lifestyle, diet, and mental and spiritual well-being to promote health.
Personalized Medicine
Ayurveda understands that each person is unique (based on their individual constitution or prakriti) and tailors health and treatment plans to individual needs, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
Nadi pariksha or pulse diagnosis, is an ancient Ayurvedic method of examining the pulse to diagnose physical, mental, and emotional imbalances.
